Harrogate’s newest Italian restaurant, San Martino is a gem just yards from the Exhibition Halls on Swan Road, close
to the Old Swan and Studley Hotels.

Opened in October 2005, the intimate and exclusive restaurant is owned and run by a father and son team Costanzo and Tommaso from Lucca in Tuscany, with head waiter
Matias from Milan.

The stylish bar area is an ideal place to enjoy an aperitif and select wines to accompany
your meal, and the restaurant itself is a warm and elegant space with leather chairs and the finest linens, cutlery and
glassware, has all been designed with great attention to detail.

The menu at San Martino has a great choice of classic Italian favourites, all cooked using
the freshest ingredients and to Martinucci family recipes. The wide range of seafood, pasta and steak dishes is bound to appeal
to most palates, but the restaurant’s signature dish, invented by owner Costanzo Matinucci is the Spaghetti San Martino cooked in a paper bag.

Created in 1971 at Costanzo’s Chelsea restaurant of the same name, the now famous dish is a delicious combination of fine freshly made pasta, seafood and secret ingredients, all cooked – unusually - in a paper bag to seal in taste and cook the pasta
to perfection.
Costanzo serves wine from his own personal vineyard, and the bar sells all the finest spirits
and liquers such as limoncello, made at their villa in Lucca.

Quite simply one of the finest and most individual Italian restaurants in Yorkshire, San Martino will not disappoint any fan of fine
service and authentic quality Italian cuisine.

The venue can be booked for private parties up to 50, and is open daily for lunch and dinner.
